This belvedere marks the "gateway to the Loire" for the region. Its original architecture blends into the landscape, offering a panoramic view of the Loire and the Levée de la Divatte dyke.
The belvedere is an original architectural structure with a tall silhouette made of steel and wood, evoking the local history and agricultural landscapes along the Loire. Through this belvedere, Tact Architectes and Tangui Robert, the architects, wanted to trigger a new imagination based on the history of the site, particularly in terms of the shapes: reminiscent of market garden greenhouses (light steel structures, rounded and continuous roofs, transparency effect) but also of toues, those fishing boats, and in terms of the materials: wicker or chestnut traps, wickerwork.
The site has been awarded the "main stopping place" label on the "La Loire à Vélo" itinerary. It offers a number of free services for cyclists and visitors:
- bicycle parking
- inflation pump,
- picnic area with large tables,
- accessible sanitary facilities,
- secure lockers with power sockets (for recharging batteries and telephones),
- 24-hour access.
