The tote bag is the must-have leather goods model, so it’s time to create your own!
The workshop begins with a presentation and discussion about leather goods and leather, depending on your questions. You’ll choose the finish and colours you like from a fine selection of leathers suitable for making your tote bag. The workshop continues with an introduction to the hand-cutting technique, starting with leather scraps before working on your model with your cutting template. Once you’ve cut your tote bag and traced the assembly marks, you’ll discover the different stages and techniques involved in making it. Next comes the hand sewing. A whole series of rivets will need to be fitted, and you’ll use cookie-cutters to attach the accessories. To add a touch of originality to your tote bag, you’ll make a personalised accessory.
