On the banks of the Loire, at a place called “le Cul du Moulin”, put your picnic basket down facing the Loire. An exceptional setting for a gourmet break at the foot of an old watermill. Tables are set up in the shade of the trees, but you can also sit out in the sun close to the pier.

It’s also the departure point for the La Luce walking boat (1-hour guided tour).
A fun trail using the Baludik app allows you to investigate and discover the fauna and flora of the banks of the Loire. It’s an interactive family outing for young and old alike.
Other options include the “Parcours médiéval” walk (4km, signposted in red, with interpretation tables) and the “De la Citadelle à la Loire” hike (12.8km). Both routes pass through the picnic area.
