The Boire Sainte Catherine, a waterhole fed by the Loire during floods, is located near the village of Fossé Neuf, in Bouzillé between Saint Florent-le-Vieil and Ancenis, on the route of the Loire à Vélo. This well-preserved alluvial bocage offers beautiful views over floodplain meadows.
This 2-hectare natural site has been developed around this stretch of water and is part of the Espace Naturel Sensible de Liré-Bouzillé.
Here you can picnic, fish, relax and explore the surrounding paths.

Take the Loire à Vélo to reach the Petite Cité de Caractère of Saint Florent-le-Vieil or the town of Ancenis.
The “Boire et Coteaux” hiking trail (14.7 km) starts at the Saint Catherine drinking station. Nearby, you can also discover some impressive lime kilns, dating from the 19th century and bearing witness to the region’s intense lime-making activity.
