The climb is a demonstration. The aim is to get pre-1985 motorcycles that have made their mark on the world of motorcycling to ride on a road course that has been closed to traffic. It’s also an opportunity to introduce the general public to the speed sidecar, with its spectacular acrobatic passages, usually seen only on circuits.
