Flood alert and vigilance for the Loire River

[Updated on March 31, 2026] Heavy rainfall in February caused high water levels and flooding along several sections of La Loire à Vélo. Water levels have been receding since early March; while a few sections remain inaccessible, the majority are now open. Road maintenance crews are doing their utmost to restore the areas still affected. In general, detours will be clearly marked for any sections that have not yet reopened.
