Inspired by Michel Hazanavicius’s cult film Le Grand Détournement, top-flight improvisers reinvent a soundtrack based on extracts from a wide range of films: great classics, little-known gems, cult TV series and gimmicks. There’s one notable difference: the dubbers and the musician in Le Petit Détournement will have to pull off the feat of creating a live script, dialogue and soundtrack in a totally improvised way!
Le Petit Détournement is punctuated by an anthology of sequences and challenges to be met, served up with a good dose of humour, quirkiness and creativity… all sprinkled with film culture.
Each performance is unique and ephemeral, as the video sequences are concocted especially for each evening, then unveiled live on stage to the artists and audience.
