Autumn wild edible plant course in Maine-et-Loire 49, on the magnificent loop of the wild Hyrôme. 3.5 km.
Michel Kotenkoff, a specialist and enthusiast in this field, will guide you along this picturesque path.
We’ll come across a wide variety of plants, at the stage of young shoots, fruit, etc… For example, hogweed, burdock, alliaria, lamiers, nettle, comfrey, wild rose, hawthorn, etc…
You can learn to recognise several plants at the vegetative stage (before flowers and fruit appear).
At around 3pm, we’ll make a giant herbarium on the ground, grouping the plants by species and naming them. This is an important step towards better memory.
Afterwards, we’ll prepare and cook what we’ve gathered, in a simple way: a pan-fried wild dish.
After the course, you may find that you change the way you look at the plant world when you go for a walk…
