Between 1927 and 1931, letters sent by Jean, a farm labourer in La Couyère (35), to his cousin Pierre were published in the Courrier de Châteaubriant.
The show ‘Lettres rustiques’ is based on correspondence written in the local language (Gallo or patois) and takes us into the everyday life of a rural world rooted in its traditions, but already in the throes of change.
