The highest château in France, Château de Brissac, nicknamed the “Giant of the Loire Valley”, is set in the heart of lush parkland offering magnificent views. The pathways have been laid out over the centuries by those who have lived and loved here. By successive touches, the Château’s inhabitants have shaped nature, transforming a marsh at the foot of the original fortress into an elegant landscaped park. Revealed from the hill of the Mausoleum, from the vineyards, or reflected in the pond, the facades of the Château are monumental in a site of majestic perspectives and bucolic tones.
The park is open to visitors for a single ticket, or for a guided tour of the Château including a visit to the park. Outside the periods indicated in the opening hours, please ask on the answering machine and on the website. Picnicking is not permitted in the grounds of the Château, but there is a picnic area nearby.Spoken languages :English, French
