The company will present a work in progress for the creation of its new show, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”. They are working on a version that can be performed in a small nomadic yurt, transported by bicycle, installed in non-equipped venues or outdoors. Performed by a puppeteer and a cellist, the play tells the story of the Duke of Milan, Prospero, deposed and exiled by his brother, who finds himself and his daughter Miranda on a desert island. Through magic, he masters the natural elements and spirits, notably Ariel, the positive spirit of air and the breath of life, and Caliban, the negative being symbolizing earth, violence and death.
