Why are women still less numerous in mathematics studies and careers? The recent reform of the baccalauréat has further widened inequalities, erasing in 2 years the last 25 years of growth in the share of girls in this discipline, so that today almost half of female high school students no longer study math in première, compared with 17% in 2019.
