Conférence à Saint-Martin-le-Beau “L’art roman”

Romanesque art developed in the 11th and 12th centuries during a period rich in the exchange of knowledge. This new style was applied to castles and religious buildings, with the adoption of the basilica plan and the widespread use of barrel vaults. Sculpture was given pride of place on tympanums and capitals.
