What if being candid meant being truly free? To rediscover freedom, love and kindness, Gabriel Um writes letters about the world around him to his child self, his Candide. In a large white cube, seven performers engage in a dialogue with their inner child, trying to rediscover the spontaneity and carefree spirit of childhood. Combining African tradition, urban and contemporary dance, poetry and live music, the choreographer goes to the root of the gesture, outside the frame. This rebellious dance is a call to the beauty of candour, which far from being a flaw, is a form of escape from established boundaries.
