A4 (comme la feuille) – Chicos Mambo

After “Tutu” and “Carmen”, here is “A4”, Philippe Lafeuille’s new choreographic extravaganza. Four dancers, four worlds, for a Power 4 of possibilities for games and gestures… Four dancers enter the stage in white fringed costumes that envelop them completely. Four is the leitmotif of this choreography imagined by Philippe Lafeuille and performed by the Chicos Mambo company. Somewhere between circus, comedy and dance (contemporary and hip-hop), the choreographer has bent over backwards to create a visual universe that’s as sharp as a tack. Paced by Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, we wonder if the quartet will end up with all fours in the air. Whatever happens, at the bottom of page A4 you’ll find the inimitable signature of this most leafy of choreographers: a delightful and inventive proposition in which dance plays with theatre, circus, humour and poetry.
